1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Model Generator (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service. We may update these terms at any time, and it is your responsibility to review them periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

2. Description of Service

Model Generator is a web-based tool for creating, editing, and managing custom xLights model files. The Service allows users to import designs, place LED nodes, define submodels, and export production-ready xModel files. The Service includes all related features, tools, and functionality provided through the Model Generator website and associated applications.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or resources. Model Generator is not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of those external sites. Use of third-party services is at your own risk.

3. Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You may not use another person's account without their permission.

4. Personal Use License

Model Generator grants you a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable license to use the Service subject to these Terms. You agree to the following restrictions:

• You will not distribute, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the Service or its content without prior written authorization, except as enabled through the Service's built-in functionality (e.g., exporting your own models).
• You will not alter, reverse-engineer, or modify any part of the Service.
• You will not use automated systems (bots, scrapers, or similar tools) to access the Service in a manner that exceeds reasonable human usage.
• You will not collect personally identifiable information from other users of the Service.
• You will comply with all applicable laws in your use of the Service.

Free accounts may have limitations on the number of models, storage, or features available. Model Generator reserves the right to modify these limits or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of all models, designs, and content you create using Model Generator. By uploading or creating content through the Service, you grant Model Generator a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service to you.

You are solely responsible for the content you create and upload. You represent that you have the necessary rights and permissions for any content you submit, and that your content does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights.

Model Generator does not endorse or take responsibility for user-generated content. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable, without prior notice.

6. Account Suspension and Termination

Model Generator reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if:

• You violate these Terms of Service
• You engage in activity that disrupts the Service or harms other users
• You are found to be using the Service in an unauthorized commercial capacity
• Your use constitutes abuse or excessive consumption of resources

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Model Generator makes no guarantees regarding the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or availability of the Service. You use the Service at your own risk. Model Generator is not liable for any errors, interruptions, data loss, security breaches, or damages resulting from your use of the Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Model Generator, its creators, contributors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Model Generator, its creators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (i) your use of the Service; (ii) your violation of these Terms; (iii) your violation of any third-party rights; or (iv) any content you submit to the Service.

10. Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

11. General

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Model Generator regarding your use of the Service. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. Model Generator's failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
